Hasegawa 1/48 Spitfire HF.VII - by Jens Brandal - Chelmsford, Essex, UK
This is a Spitfire HF.VII, NX-Q of 131 Sqn. in the early days following the D-Day while the squadron still used the pointed wingtips before swapping them for the elliptical wings. This is the Hasegawa Mk.IXc corrected in the nose and Ultracast cannon barrels, exhausts, seat, prop and spinner added. Additionally, the model was converted to a Mk. VII by adding a short intake from Ultracast as well as canopies from the Falcon Spitfire Special range. The cockpit was modified to represent the pressurized cockpit of the Mk. VII. Decals are from the BarracudaCals sheet.
